Willamette Falls Trust is creating public access to Willamette Falls—the second largest waterfall in North America—designing an inclusive space that welcomes all communities for generations to come.

The future of the Falls includes sharing the many stories of this special place and its free-flowing bounty, by providing pathways, viewing structures, and spaces for interpretation, cultural events and community programming, all informed by Indigenous-led design.

Indigenous people have been connected to the land and water since time immemorial.

As we deepen Tribal relations and leadership-building, together, we are reimagining a public space and region that reflects the diversity and complexity of the Falls and its many histories. Through meaningful leadership tables, we acknowledge the sovereignty and nationhood of Tribal communities, working to build respect, visibility, and representation of Tribal knowledge in all matters from water restoration to civic engagement, benefiting all communities that live and depend on these lands.

Learn how Inter-Tribal collaboration and leadership are paving the way forward for an exceptional public project like no other.
