Lily Abood has spent over twenty years building relationships that fuel meaningful change. Her approach to fundraising is rooted in authentic connection and deep listening. Most recently at Ecotrust, she led development and communications efforts that supported the organization's work at the intersection of equity, environment, and economy, including collaborative efforts to build the Redd Campus in Southeast Portland and energize the Indigenous Leadership Awards. Throughout her career with organizations like Mercy Corps, World Pulse, and Mother Jones, Lily has championed partner-centered strategies that honor the stories, values, and visions of the people and places she serves.
Lily was drawn to Willamette Falls Trust by its collaborative spirit and transformative vision. The opportunity to support a project that centers Indigenous leadership, restores vital habitat, and reconnects communities to this extraordinary waterway feels like exactly the kind of work she's meant to do. She believes the best fundraising happens when people come together around shared values, big ideas, and genuine connection—and this project embodies that spirit.
A graduate of UC Santa Cruz, Lily is proud to call Oregon home. When she's not at work, you'll find her fishing, camping, swimming, and hiking with her family, or basking in sunshine wherever she can find it. She's endlessly curious, believes in making room for joy and learning, and can't wait to help more people experience the wonder of Willamette Falls.
